The Confusing Dragon Ball Mechanic in Dragon Ball FighterZ is Finally Explained in this Translation
Ever since the stream where we first saw the Dragon Ball mechanic for Dragon Ball FighterZ, fans have been pretty vocal on both ends of the spectrum.
One side has been claiming that the mechanic was cheap and doesn’t belong in a game like this, and the other side has been saying the mechanic seems fun and won’t cause any issue. We’ve leaned towards not wanting the mechanic in, but most of that is due to the vagueness of how the mechanic works, due to it being a secret.
Well finally with this scan translation we can put all of the side talk to rest and break down how this mechanic works, so that everyone can base their opinions off of cold hard facts.
First off, acquiring a dragon ball is done through comboing your opponent, or having your opponent combo you. Depending on the number of hits in the combo, you can receive a dragon ball. It also seems like whenever you get a dynamic combo, you receive a dragon ball.
The person who assembles the final dragon ball, will summon Shenron and get to choose between 4 wishes. Up until now, we’ve know some of what these wishes can do, but the scan explains them in detail. The four choices are:
Please Fully Heal Me – Heals your character 100%.
Please Bring My Nakama (Team Member) Back To Life – Revives a dead team member with 20% HP.
Please Grand Me Ultimate Power – Adds a Sparking! Icon to that character. If they used one, it’ll be refilled. If not, they’ll have 2.
Please Grant Me an Undying Body – Regenerates the blue health of your entire team.
With all of this information in mind, has your opinion on the Dragon Ball mechanic changed, or have you doubled down? Let us know, and check out the scan for more details!
