Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash V-Jump Scan Details Combat Mechanics, Auto Combos and More
This month’s V-Jump magazine has a two-page spread for Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash and extensively covers the game’s mechanics.
In Cursed Clash, players will need to attack to increase their curse level, which will not only make their character stronger but can also evolve their techniques. For example, Divergent Fist will become Black Flash once the player’s curse level is up.
Maki will have a physical gauge instead of a curse level meter. Players can charge up her gauge to deal damage with attacks while wielding various cursed tools. She will also deal damage with her taijutsu attacks.
Once Gojo’s curse level is raised, he can seal his opponent’s movements and keep them at bay, and according to the scan, he can end battles with one blow.
Using techniques that are not cursed will not damage opponents but will increase your curse level. Once your curse level has increased, players can use cursed attacks to damage their opponent.
Cursed Clash will also have an auto combo system where players can press the same button and immediately do damage with a cursed technique (we can assume this is not optimal).
Yuji’s speed increases as his curse level goes up, and Gojo will temporarily gain super armor where attacks against him will be ineffective. While Gojo may be strong, his abilities take time to activate, and the scan seems to promise that the game will be balanced.
